SDG Awarded New COE Project; NAS, Bahrain

SDG, LLC has been awarded the contract for fire suppression system engineering and design for a multi-building project in Bahrain.  Working with ProtectU of Oman, SDG will provide estimating and design deliverables for several new and existing buildings.  “This is a timely project for us”, said Steven Scandaliato.  “As construction in the United States continues to be sluggish, projects like this give us the chance to extend our reach for offering services around the world.”  This project will include several retrofit systems for existing buildings previously not protected and provide new systems for two new multi-story buildings.  Deliverables include pre-bid designs and design/build construction documents including hydraulic and seismic calculations.

Chevron USA has awarded SDG, LLC the Loading Rack Fire Suppression System Upgrade project

Chevron USA has awarded SDG, LLC. of Tucson, Arizona the Loading Rack Fire Suppression System Upgrade project located at the Port Everglades Terminal in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This project includes the development of the RFP package and contract administration for the fire protection upgrade to two existing fuel loading racks. The scope involves demolition along with revisions to existing fire suppression and detection systems. New system design includes upgrades to new flame detection systems along with dry chemical and water-based foam systems. SDG will be the prime consultant for the project. Projected completion is July 2012.

SDG, LLC awarded Kirtland Air Force Base Armament/Fuel Cell/Corrosion Control project

SDG, LLC. awarded Kirtland Air Force Base Armament/Fuel Cell/Corrosion Control project with K.L. House Construction located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This multi-building design/build project includes an addition to an existing Corrosion Control Facility and construction of a new Armament and Fuel Cell Hanger buildings. Along with providing fire protection specialist services, SDG, in collaboration with local fire protection contractor Kaufman Fire Protection, will produce complete fire suppression system design documents and specifications. Systems included in these design documents include high expansion foam and automatic wet-pipe fire sprinkler systems. Anticipated completion for design is April 2012.
